Mobile Is Not an Afterthought

More than half of the people visiting your website are probably doing it on a phone. If your pages are difficult to read, slow to load, or awkward to navigate on a small screen, you are turning away the majority of your potential customers. Mobile is not a nice-to-have anymore; it is the place where most buying decisions begin.

Design mobile-first by default

A mobile-first approach means designing for the small screen first and then expanding outward. It forces you to focus on what truly matters: clear headings, readable text, thumb-friendly buttons, and a single obvious path to action. When a layout works well on a phone, it almost always works everywhere else.

Small screen, big expectations

Mobile users are impatient and task-focused. They want to find a phone number, read a menu, or make a purchase in a few taps. If a page breaks, zooms awkwardly, or hides the action, they leave. Treat the mobile experience as your first responsibility, and the desktop will naturally follow.
